Ltd (LIPL) is a family owned business
firm and is managed by fourth generation
family members. 1903-1913:The
late Shri Velji Asaria Daga commenced
his cotton service in 1903. He mastered
himself in the art of cotton procurement
and started his own trading and brokerage
firm.

| 1913-1956:After his
early demise, his son late Shri Ramji
Velji Daga joined the business in 1913
at the young age of 18 years. He earned
a very good reputation as a master salesman
& worked with many reputed firms
like Ramnath Nandlal Dhoot, Gill &
co, etc. At that time, these companies
acted as brokers and agents in the purchase
and sale of cotton in the domestic market
and also played a leading role in the
import and export of cotton from overseas.
Working with prominent importers, he
gained thorough knowledge of India’s
import needs. |

1956-2000:His son
late Shri Pratap Ramji Daga joined him
in 1956. He continued the established
business in Maharashtra and developed
the business to other states of India
like Gujarat and Karnataka. He gained
experience of sale and purchase of Indian
and overseas ELS cotton.
From the early beginning, the founders
have been closely associated with Indian
farmers, country merchants and reputed
consumers of cotton.

Present: The fourth
generation represented by Mr. Manish
Pratap Daga qualified as a textile technologist,
joined the business in 1989. Under his
able management, the company expanded
its operations to all major cotton growing
states in India. With cultural background
and with the related study of textiles,
he made M/s P.R.D. Cottons the first
recognised valuer of cotton. In 2005.
P.R.D. Cottons, a subsidiary of Lesha
Impex Pvt Ltd became the world’s
first company to achieve ISO 9001: 2000
certification from UKAS (UK) for Cotton
Valuation and Broking services.
Since his taking over, Lesha Impex Pvt
Ltd has grown in terms of turnover,
number of satisfied customers, newer
markets and service satisfaction. Presently
75% of our turnover is with India’s
premier exporters.Currently LIPL is
working with about 150 Ginning factories
in major cotton growing status of Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh,
Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka.
Today, LIPL is the catalyst between
farmers, ginners and consumers. We assure
the supply of best quality cotton at
extremely competitive rates within the
stipulated scheduled time.
In order to promote Indian cotton abroad,
he has visited China and other European
countries. |
